originolsin Posted April 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2013 We will be in Marseille May 15th docking at 8:00 and ship leaves at 17:00. My wife would enjoy some time walking around Marsielle before getting back on the ship. We own a wine shop and are a bit on the wine geek side and want to do a good CnP tour which doesnt just hit two tourist wineries. Can anyone give advice on how to go about doing a private excursion to some great places? Also some recommended wineries that would be great to tour. Lastly, would it be worth our time to go "all the way" up to CnP region or would our time be better spent in Provence? We love Grenache(CnP) and occasionally enjoy a nice Rose' and Mourvedre(Provence) is great as well. Thank You!

I would suggest that you use Google to search for a good guide who drives and can arrange for you to visit some wineries that may not be open to the public, but would not mind having an appt, with you since you own a wine shop. You can also use some other search sites as well.We did this in Italy. We have been to St. Emillion and surrounding area as well as DH collected cabs at one time, and laid quite a few of the French wines down. Also try the French Tourist Board with your request.Good luck.
