On-Board Credit

If you want the cash in your hands go to the casino with your card (room card) and ask for a $100 withdrawal. You will be charged 5% on your card. Do it four times. You'll end up with $380. No problem. We did it last month.

you also can shop in the on-board stores, buy bottled water/sodas/fresh orange juice, enjoy gelato in the gellateria, enjoy a specialty restaurant and so on. If you have unspent OBC towards the end of the cruise, go to the casino, as suggested...and you can just take out the full amount...there is not a $100 limit....for a 5% charge.

I went on my10-day Med cruise with almost $600 OBC. AQ gratuities took their toll quickly, but that made me even more thankful to have the credit.

You probably won't have to "look" for a way to spend it - but your OBC is still a good thing!

We got the free gratuities deal when we booked.

Nice.

I'm going to have to second the "spa treatment" suggestion!

.... and a spectacular "one time" drink at the Molecular Bar,

.... and a specialty restaurant package

.... or put it all on "black" and let it ride:o.

So many great things to choose from when its "free money." Enjoy!

I thought you can't use OBC at the casino.

Have a latte every morning, take a bottle of water off the ship at every port. Have a spa treatment followed by dinner in a Specialty restaurant. Pick up a goofy souvenir or a nice scarf or bag in one of the shops. Get an Internet package and check your email while sipping the Drink of the Day. Go to a wine tasting or the Elegant Tea. Have your portrait taken on formal night (and buy a print). Get a special bottle of wine at dinner. Play bingo. If you are on an ship with them, rent an Alcove for the day.

Wonder where your OBC went and why you have a balance due!

Where did the credit come from? Celebrity? Follow the recommendations above. Your TA? Might be refundable if it is all from the TA with no help from Celebrity. My TA gives me a good percentage of their commission so I can get it back on my credit card if there is anything leftover. Dena

It's part of the deal we got -- free gratuities and $400 OBC.

There is no statement that anyone has been refused doing this at the casino. Some have called celebrity to ask, but as everyone knows, the answer you get over the phone is likely a guess that has nothing at all with either policy or what will happen on the ship.

Stop spreading "rumors".....until someone tells us that they weren't able to take the money out at the casino.

Not "spreading rumors". Just mentioning what I've read from other posts.

So sensitive.
