Well, she's finally back in the UK (just prior to her dry dock).

 

Anyone else here excited by that?

 

4 weeks today I'll be boarding her for my first ever cruise holiday...Woohooo!

Just clicked like!

I work in Southampton and walked to the docks yesterday to check that the QE was back safely!

May go down to the shore later and watch IOS sail to Hamburg.

We are on the AoS this summer and she sails from the US tomorrow arriving here in a few weeks, it's in my diary to check she arrives safely!!

I would love to sail on IOS from Southampton but prices in August are so expensive, £4500 approx for an inside for 2 adults 1 child. Do they ever drop prices closer to sailing?

You are correct, pretty expensive for 10th August departure. 24th August is far cheaper with inside staterooms starting at £1149pp.

Yep, take Good care of her this summer...we sail on her this December 7th in the Caribbean. Here she is when she docked next to us in St Martin last week. I have to say...the Dry Dock will do her good. Enjoy the Summer with her!!

I wish I could, I am a teacher and this year DH has his holidays allocated to him so can only travel between 9-25th August. The 10th sailing fits right in but is terribly expensive.

I live near Southampton and saw her earlier today sailing through the solent - gleaming in the sunshine - a lovely sight:) Took me a bit by surprise as you normally only see them in the evening at sailaway time.

I'm on the 26th May Norway cruise so it made me a happy chap today. I took a photo on my phone but it actually looks ridiculous and you can barely see her - lol!!!

we're on first!! 2nd May for the (very) short hop to France and back just to show son and fiancée what all the fuss is about!! Can't wait :D

Who else is cruising on Indy from Southampton this year ?

 

Only two weeks to go... We're on her for her first proper cruise of the season on 4th May so we popped down to Southampton to see her depart for drydock in Hamburg this morning.

 

Hope she comes back looking a bit better than she did this morning as we thought she looked a bit shabby round the edges and in need of a good lick of paint.

 

However, I'm sure we'll manage to enjoy ourselves...!!
