NoleMini Posted August 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Can I ask if you got an emerald? How much was the taxi to get there from the cruise port? How did prices compare to other stores? Sorry for all the questions :p but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rare Azulann Posted August 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2013 we were part of a private tour organized by a person on our roll call with Lee Miles. We knew ahead of time that we would stop by his jewelry store at the end of our tour. No pressure to buy anythnig. Nice cold drinks , restrooms and Lee was there to answer any questions about emeralds. Two people bought emeralds, but they had researched the prices before the cruise and love what they bought. Our tourr guide then took us to the emerald Museum with a store attached. i bought an emerald ring at I price I was willing to pay. If you are interested in emeralds, read up and visit jewelry stores in your city before your cruise. Colombia is where emeralds are mined. Research before you make any jewley purchase. It was a great tour and loved this port stop.
