Captain's Club/Crown and Anchor Question

Hello,

DH & I have been talking about taking a Celebrity cruise in the future, after hearing that C&A levels are recognized on board Celebrity sailings. I believe that cruises taken on Celebrity do not accumulate C&A points, and vice versa, but that's fair enough.

Our big question, do you have to sail with Celebrity at least once BEFORE being eligible for the perks associated with your C&A level will apply? I do apologize if this question has been asked and answered repeatedly, but I didn't see anything related after browsing through a number of pages of threads.

Thanks for any info you may have!

I don't think so but you do need to contact Celebrity to alert them of your status with RCCL.

The way it happened for us is that we called C & A prior to sailing and they organised a Captains Club number for us. Our booking for our first X sailing then showed our membership # 's and C & A status.

As RCCL Diamond members, Elite benefits, and the associated invites/coupons etc. were in our cabin upon boarding for first X cruise.

(And... Re "points" .. You will not get C and A points, but will start accumulating X points)

Big Kev is correct, You must call Celebrity before your cruise to obtain a Captain Club number and appropriate status. Have your RCCL number handy so that they can cross reference it. When you take your cruise, you will receive the appropriate status.

It depends on your level with RCI's Crown & Anchor. If you are at least Platinum with RCI then you are eligible to receive Captain's Club benefits on your very first cruise. However if you are below Platinum status with RCI then you will not be able to join Captain's Club until you complete your Celebrity cruise.

Thank you all for your answers! We have recently made C&A Platinum level, so it looks like we are in luck. Frankly, I am surprised and thrilled to have got that far...never knew we would be lucky enough to enjoy multiple cruises, and looking forward to adding to our experiences.

We are starting to look now for a 40th Anniversary cruise in 2014, and it will be something special (probably our first European adventure!)

Thanks again,

MAry
