abbyndrewmom Posted April 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I know there will be bats in the caves when we are tubing but how prevelant are they. If I don't look up will I still see them? Are they actually flying around. I'm terrified of bats, have had them in our century old home and they really freak me out!!

trabeler Posted April 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2013 We saw a few, but none were flying. They were deep in holes in the ceiling, so you had to look really close to even catch a glimpse.
Rare mitsugirly Posted April 29, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2013 They are way up in the ceiling of the caves. They are not flying around. You can hear them sometimes but they don't bother you. In order for you to even see them, the guide had to show their lights on them. No worries. :)
abbyndrewmom Posted May 1, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Thanks all that makes me feel better, I just won't look when they point them out. Now I just have to get through the snakes, spiders and bugs in the jungle.
flames9 Posted May 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Thanks all that makes me feel better, I just won't look when they point them out. Now I just have to get through the snakes, spiders and bugs in the jungle. The walk is a very tame one--ur walking on a well traveled path--not coming into contact with much of anything!! Only thing we saw were birds and termite nests!!
