Looking for a good authentic local place to eat within walking distance from the ships for some amazing local food..any suggestions ??

 

Within walking distance is kinda hard.. since most places cater to the american tourists.

In town, bahamian Cookin, on Trinity place comes to mind. Doesn't look like much, but it's good food at great prices.

 

There's a "fish fry" area.. a village of local restaurants just outside of town. It's a 30 minute walk along the esplanade. Or a quick Jitney bus or cab. My favorites would be Oh Andros or Anchorage.

thank you for your quick replies as always! this is our 10th anniversary of cruising, we started in the Bahamas so we figured we would mark the 10 years with another cruise to the bahamas :)
