NightOne Posted May 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Anyone do this one recently? Says it does Turtle Farm, Rum Factory, Hell, and Stingray Sandbar in 4 1/2 hours. A little concerened because it says the standard Catamaran tour to Stingray Sandbar is 3 1/2 hours. (and they don't mention doing any other snorkle spots). Do you really do the other 3 things in 1 hour? I have interest in seeing the Stingrays but no interest in other snorkle spots or spending more than about 30-45 minutes in the water with the Stingrays, so this Princess tour sounds perfect. verwirrt Posted May 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2004 NightOne, We did this exact same tour last November. Your boat is not a Catamaran, but rather Caymanian. Thought this tour sounded familiar so I checked the excrsion description. You will have plenty of time to complete all of these activities and still have time for shopping afterward. I would estimate that the stingray part of the excursion will take between 2-2 1/2 hours and was the best part IMO. The turtle farm very interesting and fun. Hell also interesting but rock formations smaller than what I expected. Not sorry we did that, just won't be doing it again. Rum cakes and Tortuga rum? YUMMY! Be sure to take a disposable water-proof camera with you. You will want to take pix at stingray city! Have a great cruise! Sharon

HighTech Posted June 9, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2004 We just did this tour last week 5/29-6/5 on the Caribbean Princess. It really didnt take all that long to do the island tour stuff, and the stingrays were absolutly awesome, no other way to put it. You will love it. Rare Vacation Nut Posted June 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2004 Could either HighTech or Verwirrt let me know how strong a swimmer you have to be for the Stingrays. I can swim, but I don't really like to snorkel. I am also only 5 ft tall and feel as though I will have to tread water all the time. Any info would be gratefully received. HighTech Posted June 13, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2004 Well, the water was like 4' deep when I was there. There were some medium size waves when we were there, which made it difficult to stand still all the time. though you really dont need to "swim" floating is more appropriate there. Its just a big sand bar that you stand on. I think you will be fine. Completed: Caribbean Princess 5/
