Disney Fantasy embarkation buffet

They have both. There is also a large selection of other foods like ham, roast beef, pasta, salads, the ubiquitous chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, much, much, more.

I thought that the Cabanas buffet the first day was the best meal there the whole cruise. Only disappointing thing was that I could not find any drawn butter for the crab legs. I never saw crab legs there again. The roast beef, however, was excellent and they had that most days.

Just wondering what selections they have on the Fantasy buffet the day you get on the ship? Hoping for shrimp and crab legs

Thanks for your input

They have all sorts of meats and seafood. No worries. Now, word of advice. Depending how full the ship is, ship staff will divert a number of boarding groups to the enchanted garden buffet. Just nod, but proceed to deck 11 to the Cabanas anyway. The Enchanted Garden buffet is subpar in terms of selection and wait, although much more orderly and quiet, if that's your thing. We made the mistake of going to the enchanted garden for embarkation buffet once, never again.

We all have different points of view, but I would recommend going to the Enchanted Garden for buffet embarkation instead of Cabanas. I thought it was a much better experience. Just varying opinions.

As I said, if you like a more structured experience, you might enjoy Enchanted Garden for embarkation buffet. However, if you like more variety, more casual affair, Cabanas cannot be beat. Also, IIRC, EG there were nowhere close to the seafood choices of Cabanas which OP said he or she was looking forwards to.

Just my experience...

On the Magic and Wonder, the buffet selections in Parrot Cay and the pool deck buffet were identical. The only difference was that in Parrot Cay you would be escorted to a table and your beverage order taken. Beverages, including refills, were served to you.

On the Fantasy, the service was essentially the same as the classic ships. However, the Enchanted Garden buffet had significantly less selection than was available at Cabanas. EG did have the best ice cream! After the hassle of getting to the port and boarding, we like to sit down and have the beverages served...so we hit the EG/Parrot Cay.

Another point--I drink iced tea. In the main dining rooms, it is brewed. On the pool deck, it is that Lipton instant stuff.

As noted above, the managers are in contact with one another and if one of the locations is filling up or becoming crowded, they will attempt to divert you to the other. Hakuna Matata...just smile sweetly and explain that you're happy to wait for a table to open in the MDR. Funny how one always opens in about a minute!

I asked for some for mine. Also asked for it on lobster night. Got it both times.

Darn! Those crab legs would have been much better with some butter. They brought it without asking on lobster night.

ANYTHING you want, if you don't see it ASK. The worst they can do is say no.

For instance, you can get a chicken Caesar salad any day in the MDR (lunch or dinner), even if not on the menu. There are other items that work the same way. Especially condiments are generally not a problem.

The only times that it can be difficult are the embarkation lunch and the final morning breakfast...and even then, they will try.
