B2B Question about Alcohol Purchases

Recommended Posts

We are doing our first B2B in just over a month and we wondered...what happens with the alcohol you purchase on the first leg? How does that work through Customs? Do you declare separately for each leg or do you do it all at the end? If that is the case, wouldn't that take you well over the duty free allowance (assuming you max out your allowance on each leg)?

I'm just off a B2B. Both cruises were treated as separate sailings in every way - including us filling out a customs declaration and having to clear customs after the first leg.

Interestingly enough, the alcohol we'd purchased earlier in the first week was held until the end of the 2nd week, but we were able to take the alcohol we purchased in the Duty Free store on the last night of the first week back to our room. Bottom line is that customs didn't seem overly concerned about alcohol on either leg.

If you get your alcohol on the ship the last night of the first leg you can take it back to your cabin and drink it on the second leg, that is what we did. I LOVED a back to back... even though it was only a 4 and 5.
