WASUP Posted June 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2005 We called Princess and they said that there were no quads right now for the 7-30 sailing, if we wish to waitlist and we dont get on, we get all our money back. We are thinking of doing the 3 double room right now, as we wish to get onboard. If we pay full payment for the 3 rooms, can we still waitlist down to the quad and one more room?? I have my sister and her three kids, we are even willing to take two rooms that sleep three, but we figured the quad waitlist might be the way to go. As we are then waiting for one room instead of two. Has anyone waitlisted a quad and did they get on the ship? I asked Princess if we waitlist and we dont get on,what happens and she said we are canceled. They said we cannot waitlist and book a room at the same time They are trying to sell what they have and not what they dont have and may not have. Any thoughts or different way sto approach this wouldbe greatly appreciated Thanks
hotmike98 Posted June 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2005 We tried to waitlist a triple on the Diamond last year. Moved from #21 to #3 and never moved again. If you really want this particular week, you had better book it. Final payments have already been made. I would guess your chances of two triples is nil, and the quad less. spongerob Posted June 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2005 I think you are better off booking what is available and proceeding with your plans. Quads tend to book early.
Budget Queen Posted June 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2005 It's extremely unlikely a quad will open up at this date past penalities.
WASUP Posted June 19, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 19, 2005 If we waitlist, then the week before it sails, nothing is there quad wise, do they give us the two rooms we need with two people in each or do we lose out totally? Thanks
spongerob Posted June 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2005 You might lose out entirely. You can't be given cabins that are booked by others, so it's best to take what you can and resolve to start planning earlier for your next cruise.

Thanks They certainly aren't going to hold anything for you. I would definately book what you need now. A quad is extremely unlikely to open up.
