Getting to transportation to go to Aix

Ok, I think I'm thinking too hard about this. Can someone give me easy directions on getting to the bus station from the port? I'm finding the cheapest is the 35 bus to La Joliette then the metro to Gare Saint Charles, then what? Is the bus station right outside the metro? Thanks!!
