QE2-Internet Access

We were last aboard QE2 Dubai-Southampton on a segment of 2005 World Cruise. The computer center had been updated since 2004 World Cruise. There are about 12 computers. You cannot put in any type of disc. I THINK the cost was $.95 minute and less with a plan which I think we paid $.50/min for the largest plan. The speed was vastly improved between 2004 and 2005. Service is via satellite phone. While it is faster than dial up, it is certainly not like DSL we've all become use to. I don't use AOL but I recall seeing a sign that AOL was difficult or impossible to access and they suggested setting up a hotmail et al acct. Accessible 24 hours a day. 4 of the computers have games (no charge) on them. Hope this helps. I responded in early May just after the World cruise to a similiar question, you could search for my response which would be more accurate on costs.
