Binoculars for Alaska(Scenery & Wildlife)

I believe this has been asked before but can't seem to find posting. My better half is looking at getting Bushnell 12x50mm Trophy XLT Binoculars - 23-5012 for me are these a good general use binocular. I'll be taking pictures but its will be nice to have a pair. The ones I do have are big and weigh lots about 25 years old
