Seeing island without excursions

Good Afternoon,

 

I am cruising in a little over 60 days and I would like to do excursions but the people I am traveling with have different shall we say economic means so I am looking to see what we can do without booking an excursion. Are there tours here that you can pay for once you get off the boat that take you to the beach and shopping? Can we get to the beach on our own?

 

Any help would be appreciated!

yes when you disembark there will be plenty of open air type people carriers which will take you to the beach for not alot of money, especially cane garden bay. It is also possible to hire a taxi to take you anywhere you require to go , shopping, sightseeing etc. with out prebooking excursions.
