For one thing, Cozumel's time zone is 1 hour earlier than most of the ships' times. Coz is Central and most ships run on Eastern.

If this is a Carnival excursion, I'm sure they'll make sure you get off the ship in time. (Or the excursion will wait for those signed up to get off the ship.) Usually, they'll have a specific waiting place for the people on early excursions and let them off first.

As kathy7558 posted, you'll be just fine! One of the main benefits of booking an excursion thru Carnival is that you don't have to worry about timing -- they'll pick you up from the ship, take you to have fun, and return you to the ship! :D

Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)

Even the independant excursion operators usually adjust their schedules to match the ships. They'll often list a start time on their website, say 9 a.m., but if several ships arrive at 9 on a certain day, you can bet the tour won't start until 9:30 or 10:00.

I was in a similar situation and called carnival. I was told that they do keep in sync with the tour times and ship arrivals. Why don't you call carnival for your own piece of mind.
