Smiles3usa Posted June 21, 2005 #27 Share Posted June 21, 2005 Luxor, Egypt. The history was incredible; the artwork on papyrus amazing; and the touts much more laid back than in other parts of Egypt.

Pam in CA Posted June 21, 2005 #32 Share Posted June 21, 2005 The most interesting port for me was Istanbul with Cairo a very close second (although the port was actually Alexandria). The most "fun" was Belize.

bjboothman Posted June 21, 2005 #39 Share Posted June 21, 2005 Our favorite port is wherever we are at the moment! I have to agree with that --- but I'd say I personally enjoyed my stop in St. Georges, Bermuda, as much as any I've ever visited. Sorry to hear that Montego Bay is as unpopular as I'd feared it would be. Princess has added it to the Coral Panama Canal cruise we are taking in December. Sounds like another sea day to me ;)

calikak Posted June 21, 2005 #41 Share Posted June 21, 2005 Skagway, but only when there's only on ship in port, otherwise the town is a complete zoo. Greenock, Scotland was also a fantastic day for us. The town could not have been more welcoming, they even had a pipe band (wearing Dress Gordon, my husband's tartan) playing as we sailed away. But I'm hoping I'll develop a new favorite port on each of my next cruises! :)

Ray-Barbara Posted June 21, 2005 #43 Share Posted June 21, 2005 Tortola. We took a catamaran over to Virgin Gorda and had a glorious day. I find it better than St. Thomas as it isn't as crowded. Ray
