Shuttle buses

I understand from what I've read that some cruise lines charge for shuttle buses. Cunard have announced that they are going to charge for shuttle buses next year for anyone who has booked a Getaway fare.

 

So the question is: about how much is charged, when do you pay - on the bus, or do you have to stand in line or do you buy a ticket in advance?

We either buy the ticket from the vacations desk onboard in advance or on ships we have been on, they have also set a desk up in the atrium and you line up to purchase them. Some ports sell them dockside once off the ship.

 

Depending on the location, we've paid:

 

$12 return for Dubrovnik

$10 return in Marseille

$15 return in other ports

 

It's always worth checking out the local transport etc too as if there are 4 in a party, it's often cheaper to use a taxi
