Yes, I was thinking I would start with what I know are our excursion costs and then add a little padding. Did you tend to use cash or a card for expenditures in ports, ie. shopping?

 

We took about 1500 in Euro, try to take smaller bills as they will give you change in coins (they have "dollars and fives' in coins) and have no problem giving you about twenty coins for change!

 

We also used a credit card that does not charge foreign transaction fees.

 

All of the private excursions we took over there-you paid at the end of the tours. The only thing you have to prepay/order is your Vatican tickets so you don't have to stand in the long ticket line when you get there!

 

Love the Greek kitty! I absolutely loved Athens! Thanks again for bringing back all these memories, I have to go find our pictures and look back at our trip too.

We already have Rome in Limo booked for our 3 ports in Italy. Thanks for all the helpful info. I also want to congratulate both of you on your 30th anniversary. I am so jealous. I was supposed to be on this cruise with you with my son and my sister. We had to change our plans due to my son's test dates were changed. We not only changed dates but also itineraries. We are headed for Alaska in August on the Miracle. Looks as if we missed out on a wonderful trip. I hope they have the same itinerary next year. :(

Sounds like I need to bring my plastic Carnival glass w/me on my upcoming cruise!!

 

 

 

I sure missed those Carnival "glasses" on our May Ecstasy cruise, they were noticeably no longer available :mad: -and the replacement was not nearly as tasty going down the hatch! Nice to see some ships still have them, it is like a ritual on a cruise. Maybe now that Bob is back the glasses will return.

 

Looking forward to your additional photos. It is so refreshing to see how crazy you and your bride are about each other! Carry on!
