G&G Posted May 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2013 Does anyone have an idea why the Dec. 1 Ryndam sailing has completely sold out all insides? Maybe it was a great rate considering an outside cabin starts at $82/day for the 14-21 day cruises.
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2013 I don't see any charters or groups listed for that cruise -- here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1838341 Maybe people are hoping for an upgrade by booking the cheapest cabins. Caribbean Chris Posted May 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2013 We were on that itinerary, same one week early Dec sailing out of Tampa in 2007 (Veendam then, I believe) and there was indeed a very large group of youngish people who were doing mission projects in Central America. Other than their omnipresent name tags, we never would have known they were there. Those we chatted with were a nice group of folks. Maybe you or your TA could ask HAL about a group onboard that week?
BumperII Posted May 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2013 Two points: A. The first week in December is usually reduced in price to fill cabins, it is a week where the demand is low. B. The most expensive suites and the least expensive staterooms are normally the first to sell out. There is something for every budget!!:)
