OneOfTheHoosiergirls Posted May 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Is it easier and cheaper to just grab a taxi or bus to go to a public beach in Grand Cayman? I hope Carnival offers an excursion, but is is around $42 a person.

spiritkat090909 Posted June 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2013 The bus is really easy, once you find your way out of the cruise port (oops Royal Caribbean)area. The exit where the taxis are is not where you go...it's to the right, go left (by the Harley shop?) to get out. Then left to the first bench...I think it's across street from a faded yellow building. It's 2.50 pp & they take US$. Tell the driver where you want to go. When you are ready to leave, you stand by the road & wave the next bus that comes by. You go in a continual circle around the island, so going back to pier takes a different route & slightly longer time. Another 2.50 pp each time you get off. We grabbed patties at the cruise port, brought them to the beach, later went to Hell & Turtle Farm on our own, and back to port.
stunned Posted June 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2013 Are you allowed to take your own drinks to the beach?
