Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Back to P&O for this one. Not my favourite ship due to its high passenger capacity on a ship only designed for 2,600 that can now take over 3,000 thanks to aluminium and extra decks. I did try it for myself as I really liked the Sapphire Princess which is a favourite of mine, however this one and others like it I wont be sailing on again due to the exess passenger capacity. Everything is centred around the atrium and as you can see it is large and not as tall as other ships. Quite plain in my opinion but modern and uncluttered. Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted May 25, 2013 The blue bar is at the top of the atrium on the promenade deck. All the way to the front of the ship is the main theatre as usual. which has the glass house as the main bar close to it on the promenade deck. Below this is another bar called brodies. Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted May 25, 2013 which also doubles onto the casino. Back to the atrium they have a small library. and a coffee type bar called java. Back up to promenade there is the midships entertainment venue for concerts, dancing other performances.
Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Then right at the back yet again another entertianment venue. Then heading to the top instead of a crows nest there is a bar at the rear of the funnel. There are also plenty of pay to use alternate restaurants on this ship. Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted May 25, 2013 This next one offers suite guests a posher breakfast than the masses and doubles as fine dining at night. Then the main restaurants are down below the promenade deck.
Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Then at the top and aft are the buffet restaurants divided into seperate sections. Heading outside now at the top are the bars and pools starting towards the front. This pool was designated for all the passengers to use and there was no large adult only lap pool on this ship. Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted May 25, 2013 The ship also had an outdoor cinema and again another family friendly pool. Then the aft terrace pool was for adults only except it was usually the childrens pool on all the Princess ships.
Sutho Posted May 25, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted May 25, 2013 This pool was part of that ridiculous retreat where you had to pay to use it which is soon changing on this ship and about time. I hate to criticise ships but it is wrong to charge to use pools. Now finally the retreat.
