sanedeb Posted May 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2013 We will be on the POA in September and are looking for something low key to do in Maui the second day. We won't be renting a car we don't like to drive. I remember reading somewhere in the boards that there was an option on shore for transport, a bus or a shuttle to a beach, but can't find it again. Also are there free shopping shuttles at port? Doing the Road to Hana the day before and know we will just want to something low key to recover. Thanks in advance!:)

Thanks in advance!:) I haven't sailed the POA so can't help you much with free shopping shuttles. I have seen bus loads of POA passengers who took the free shuttle to the Kihei Hilo Hattie's store. In the same shopping center is a Safeway market, Crazy Shirts, ABC Store & food court with local food at L&L plus Maui Tacos and other places to eat & to shop. It's about a 15 minute bus ride from the pier & there may also be a free shuttle to the larger & closer Kaahumanu Shopping Center or a 10 minute walk to the smaller Maui Mall. Public transportation is limited & you can find info at this website...Aloha! :) http://www.mauicounty.gov/index.aspx?NID=605&MOBILE=OFF Here's a website for public shuttles from Lahaina to Ka'anapali: http://thewharfcinemacenter.com/bus-schedule/ The best Hawaii weather site: http://www.hawaiiweathertoday.com/
