I am assuming that as in previous Princess cruises, that Elite members will be the first to board no matter what deck they are on.

Also will there be the usual separate waiting area for Elite members.

Thank you

On our last several cruises there was no "elite" boarding. There was a preferred line which was longer than the general boarding. In addition to that, the people directing passengers were telling them to take either line. Not very special anymore.

When boarding in Southampton there is a 'preferred' queue for elite/suite etc. When you checkin (if boarding has not started) you are given a card. Elites/suite get A1 A2 A3 etc. Once through that and passed security there is no special waiting area. When boarding starts they call the cards by number, so A1 first, then after a few minutes A2 and so on. If you have a B1 B2 etc and try to get on with the A cards you are sent away.

Once general boarding starts they stop giving out the cards. At that point you can just walk on board.

Thanks. It has been a while since we needed the boarding card numbers as usually get on straight away!. Some cruises we have had to wait for a while in a special lounge, whilst others it was on straight away.

We are on the 16th June maiden voyage too.

230 days with Princess and P & O to date 21 Captain's Circle Credits (a few long cruises in there)
