Hotel rec. on way to San Francisco

Hi all:

We are driving from so cal to board the grand- 300 miles to sf. Any recommendations on a hotel in or North of Gilroy (on the cheap)? Beats covering the whole drive in one leg.

Depends on the route are you taking. If you're north of Gilroy, you're almost there.

I would do it all in one leg.....or Priceline a room in Santa Clara but only 4 star....

Agreed. We live outside of SF and drive to LA all the time for cruises. Leave early, early in the am and you should have no problem. If you are south of LA like San Diego you may want to break it up but once you are in Gilroy you are almost there.

Thanks everyone. Jumped on Priceline and We're staying in gilroy- guess they have great outlets (200 stores?? Wow!!!) that leaves is with only 80 miles on embark day.
