javamom Posted May 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2013 On cruises such as Dream stopping at Nassau on Day 1 and Breeze stopping at Key West on Day 1, is the first elegant night on that evening or the evening of the first sea day? Thanks
serene56 Posted May 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2013 We sailed the Glory-- first day was nassau and be back onboard by 1:30 with a sailing time of 2pm. this was our first formal night
disneylover89 Posted May 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2013 Unfortunately, our Elegant night is on the 2nd night of our 4 day cruise. It is our Nassau night and we dock from 12:00-8:00. Our next day is HMC and we leave at 5:00 and the last day is at sea. Makes no sense at all to make Elegant night in Nassau. Having it the first or last night of the cruise isn't practical because of the luggage situation, so really their only choice was HMC or Nasssau. Why are you mad about Nassau? How would HMC been that much better?
disneylover89 Posted May 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2013 We have a 6pm dinner seating and our family of 4 needs time to shower and get ready. Since we arrive in Nassau at 12pm, this leaves less than 4 hours for excursion time in Nassau. Our excurion ends at 5pm, we are barely going to make it back on the ship in time, let alone look and smell presentable. HMC arrives at 9am and departs at 5pm. Not much to do on the island so you can leave the beach by 4pm and still enjoyed a full day of fun.

The 1st half of my B2B this fall is a 3 day to Nassau (which we'll get to the day after we sail from Miami). We're there from 10am to 7am the next day. I would bet almost anything that that'll be our Formal/Elegant Night. Makes no sense at all.
2 cruzen Posted August 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Our cruise has a port day (HMC) first full day, with our second day being an "at sea" day. Anyone who has been on this Liberty itinerary - which night will be the first elegant night? Thanks

They want the luggage packed and outside the cabin door- People who are all getting duded out will not have that luggage packed and outside until very late. PAPERBKWRITER Posted August 15, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Normally the first full day is elegant night, which is usually a sea day. But it probably depends on the port times. I've only been on one cruise where elegant night was postponed until the second day because we did a port with a departure later than 5 PM.
