I have heard of flatulence, but have never seen one.

My husband and I are in our forties, and enjoy Celebrity's longer-than-a-week cruises. I must say the crowd, for the most part, is older than we are.

I have just one question - where do all these "older" people get their energy? I can't believe how active and spirited some of these supposed old folks are. They have us beat by a mile. After the evening show, it's all Dudley and I can do to keep our heads from hitting the pillow, yet the "old" people are dancing up a storm, gambling and generally having a great time. I envy them all.

I had to laugh when my father-in-law bought Celebrity's video of our SouthAmerica/Panama Canal cruise a few weeks ago. The video showed all kinds of events - dancing, partying, whooping it up in general. All Dudley and I could say was "Hmmm, wonder when that was going on?" Hats off to the "old people". You rock!

I might mention as a sideline, the older folks we have met on Celebrity are some of the most interesting, well-travelled and gracious people I have ever met in my life. It is a pleasure to travel in such company.

I don't know if you are phil what I would call "an old fart" or not. Tonight I had a pt who was 84, funny and nice as ever, very active man who is not an "old fart". I had another pt who was 70 who was beyond "old fart". (Couldn't reason with him and fixates on.insignificant/inappropriate things). I suppose to the 20yr olds at our table we probably were "old farts" but I think we were young enough in spirit for them to have enjoyed our company. So no offense meant to those who are older...that's not the "old farts" I'm talking about.Janineo

The beautiful thing about "old age" is that's it's always 15 years older than your present age. To me it's a matter of attitude. Assuming no serious physical or health problem I intend to be "young" as long as I can. I may not be as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Hi Phil,

I think I'd have to agree w/Ma Bell. Just recently finished a 14-day Panama Canal cruise and there seemed to be quite a few "older" pax.

Wander

we have done the panama canal thing twice, and I am still looking for a cruise where there are some realy old people, so I can be the youngest.
