How does back to back cruising work?

Recommended Posts

A few people on this board have mentioned that they are doing, or have done back to back cruises on the Adventure of the Seas to experience both itineraries. We just came off the AOS from the Aruba itinerary and had a fabulous time. We'd be interested in considering a back to back cruise in the future. How does it work? Do you have to embark/disembark? Do you have to check in again? Do you get to keep the same cabin, the same table assignments, etc? Thanks!

We do a lot of b2b's. It is a great way to cruise. You are doing it correct by staying on the same ship but alternating itineraries. You can keep the same cabin..book early to insure this. As far as getting off the ship, it will depend on the intinerary. It is usually quite painless and you will have a letter in your cabin outlining the procedure. No need to pack. If you want to keep the same table or waiter ask the head waiter. Be aware that the waiters move around from section to section so you may have to decide between keeping the same waiter or the same table. Don't expect a discount for booking a b2b but you may get some onboard recognition. Very often we are put on the VIP list and /or invited to a nice luncheon in Chops or some other private function.

Hope this helps.
