aquilegia Posted June 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2013 We haven't up till now had to leave our car at Southampton while cruising, but will have to when we cruise on Crown Princess later this year. The ship is scheduled to use Ocean Terminal. I'd prefer one of the dockside car parks, so went to try a dummy booking on both ABP and CPS. I started with ABP, because I'd gained the impression from somewhere that you park your car yourself with them and it stays put, which I slightly preferred to handing the car keys over. However, I immediately ran into problems, because Princess did not appear on the drop down menu of cruise lines. I tried the Book By Date option, but this only brought up a ship of a different cruise line which is sailing the same day. So would I be correct in assuming that these car park companies are cruise line specific and ABP does not deal with Princess passengers at all? I subsequently had no problems with the CPS website, but before I go ahead and book with them I thought I'd clarify the situation with the experts on here. newport dave Posted June 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Princess only deal with CPS, and NOT ABP. There are cheaper alternatives were you park off site and get a shuttle in. Can't recall the name but a simple search on google should bring up all the details.
