Deluzy Posted May 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I am gearing up for coming out of induction on Atkins and I wanted to find out if there are any breakfast bars out there that are low carb, but NOT made with Splenda. They don't have to be sweet (necessarily) or only "2 carbs" - I'm just wondering if there is anything out there that is maybe less than 10 carbs, but tasty?? Thanks! ~Suzy "Our" Maiden Voyage: Tahitian Princess Aug.
cmjaffe Posted May 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Net carbs or regular carbs? I raise this question especially if your just getting out of induction 'cause alot of the atkins bars are low in net but NOT reg. carbs and if you add in 20 or more carbs into that you may stall if you're just new to the program. Good luck, Carolyn
Deluzy Posted May 6, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Ah yes, Carolyn - I'm thinking regular carbs. I'm doing kind of 'old school' Atkins and eating pretty much all whole foods - mostly because I just can't palate Splenda. I'm thinking that perhaps my best breakfast bet (when not having omelettes) would be once slice low carb toast with butter or (as a treat) natural peanut butter. ~Suzy "Our" Maiden Voyage: Tahitian Princess Aug.

PINEVIEW01 Posted May 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Paradise sounds good I'll have to try that. I'm a omelette every morning person. Never use to eat breakfast until Atkins. pazooter Posted May 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2004 I swear by Wasa bread. Delicious!! Sometimes I just take one and nibble the whole thing. You'll enjoy them I think. They are the one bread/cracker that Bruce and I found without sugars. We try our best to eat foods without added sugars. Enjoy! Deluzy Posted May 7, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Thanks all! Do you find Wasa in the bread section or the cracker section? ~Suzy "Our" Maiden Voyage: Tahitian Princess Aug.
