I am thinking of taking the train down to Grand Central for my cruise in October~~would anyone know if they have a shuffle to the port or would I have to take a taxi! Any suggestions would be helpful! I hate to pay the fare from my house to the pier~~but maybe that is best!:)

We were on the 5-12 to 5-19 sailing, we took a cab from and to penn station and each time it was 6.50 and we paid 10 due to our bags.... was a very easy ride, will never walk it again....

You can also take the MTA Bus #42. Stops right outside of GCS on 42nd Street and goes all the way crosstown on 42nd Street to 12th Avenue (a few blocks from pier). Cost $2.50 per person.

Lugging Luggage?

Definitely doable with the crosstown bus. However, you better be traveling light - really light. I wouldn't do it with any significant amount of luggage.
