Quantum Keel Blocks are in the House!

Recommended Posts

Now that we've all had our fill of food, time to bring this thread back...
Lloyd, where is our updated construction pic?
Apparently MW cam Minions have fallen asleep at the wheel again :D

Some more deep thoughts:
Adam hinted on the live Hangout today, that there would be several reveals to come.
From a timeline perspective, if there are two left, then that would mean that we're due for one at the start of Summer and probably one at the end of Summer. That's a looooooooong wait!
He also indicated that itineraries are a few weeks away.
What I'd like to know is will they add the North Star on inside dry dock or once they pull it outside. Thinking logistically the height and weight of the arm and capsule might be easiest to add on outside.
I'm assuming outside as they'll need the space to maneuver everything around in the installation

I can't see how they'd add it inside.
I'm looking forward to our next photo/webcam update (now that they're a week behind on the update)

That, the funnel, and RipCord by iFly will all likely be added on outside due to the height reasons. But now that you mention weight, I have to wonder if some of these items may not be added until she leaves the shipyard. They do more work such as additional furnishings after she does her river transit to keep her lighter. I'm not sure what capabilities they have to do heavy lifting their, but maybe that is how they can still go bigger without being too heavy.

Liking the way this ship turned out. Glad I got to watch her take shape.

Can't wait to book a cruise.

Here is a better photo of the Quantum of the Seas taken today. It's not blue and you don't have to 'crane' your neck to see all of the bridge. :)

The solarium looks great.

When I am on a ship, I love going out to the bow. I am not sure, from the pictures, if bow access is available on Quantum, but at least it looks like I can get a simulated bow experience up in the Solarium.

She is looking mighty fine. Just a little over 8 months before I am up in that Solarium.

Anyhoo, here is yet another (clearer, i.e. not Instagram blue) photo showing a bit more of the Quantum of the Seas... More cabins for people to spot as being their future home during their cruise onboard her. :)

It looks like the bridge wings have railings but no walls or roof. Wonder if they'll have a door off of the solarium that we can go out on them from. Not as good as a bow but something.
