if any of you is booked on a really early morning flight and are several hours away from your departure airport, you might want to look into the "deals" that offer you up to 14 days free parking, just for the cost of the hotel room the evening before our flight. It amounts to less than they'd charge at the airport to park, and might offer you a more restful day of flying. At my home airport, I can get a room at the Howard johnson's Airport Atlanta for $65.95 (plus tax) with 14 nights of free parking and shuttle service to the airport. Other, nicer hotels are offered for more, but some only offer 5-7 days of free parking. It's worth a look if you've been concerned about fatigue on your first day.
