Deettet Posted June 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Taking Alaskan cruise and our last night has a stop in Victoria, Canada. Do we have to dress for dinner and change out of our nice clothes into casual for our outing or do they let you dress casual on that night? garydm Posted June 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Casual. To maximize your time in Victoria, you might consider the Lido that night as it opens at 5 pm that evening and you dock at 6 pm. Also, suggest a cab downtown ($9 for four people) rather than waiting for the shuttle bus. Or, it is an easy walk.
catl331 Posted June 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Last nights are usually HAL casual. They figure you are in the midst of packing and don't want to bother with dress up clothes et al. We try to wear something we will wear home the next day. It is a shame that you don't get much time in Victoria but it is worth a see in the summer. HAL needs to make a stop in a foreign port.
