Casino on the Conquest

I have been on a few cruises but never spent much time in the casino. Someone told me that if you do go to the casino make sure it is the first night. Supposedly the pay off is better. Any opinions?

We just got off the Conquest on Sunday. My husband (who has won before on other Carnival cruises) went to the casino every night and had no luck. He is a slot player and didn't notice anyone getting much out of the machines on any night.

Firsts of all, the casino isn't open till late that first night due to going down the Mississippi vs. already being in the ocean.

 

I haven't seen anything great about that first night....

I was on the Conquest last October and spent every night in the Casino. I did not notice any difference in pay outs for the slot machines.

i dunno... but if you listen on the first few nights you hear the ding ding ding of winners a lot more then you do towards the end.

I hit pretty good the first couple of nights to give me enough money for the whole week. I didn't hit alot just maybe 200-300 bucks on quarter machines, but that was all I needed. I seen this before for other ships where they say first night hits the best.
