Best Freeport beach?

Most people would say Lucaya and it's $5.00 each way on a shuttle.

I have been to Our Lucaya twice and while it is pretty, there are a fair amount of vendors.

Next time we go to Freeport I am going to try this place:

Their reviews on trip advisor are pretty phenomenal. It's away from all the noise and they will get you back to the ship on time.

I have also heard good things about Gold Rock Beach.

My family of 4 will be in Freeport traveling on Carnival Pride. We are in port from 7 AM to 1 PM. Do you think we will have time for Gold Rock Beach? We are looking for an inexpensive and short excursion that will be memorable for our boys ages 12 and 11. Can we get there by cab or shuttle with enough time not to miss our departure?

Hoping for a reply to your inquiry about Gold Rock ...... I'm on the same cruise and wanted to do the same thing. I wanted a day to just beach comb after Atlantis the day before. Traveling with my wife and 2kids (b13, g9).

Where would you find the shuttle and what kind of shuttle would you take to Lucaya for $5? Thanks for your advice!

Just guessing because I drove a rental car from Viva Fortuna to Deadmans and you pass the port...I'm gonna guess maybe 15-20 mins travel time from the ship to Deadmans. It's not that far.

Check into a day pass at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach. It's one of the prettiest beaches I've ever been to. But the resort is closing for a remodel in Sept and Oct 2013 so that may not be an option.

It's about a 30 minute ride from the ship to Viva Wyndham Fortuna.
