Every time I'm in St. Thomas I see the tram off to the left of the ship. Is this the tram to Paradise Point? I never see it moving.

If you are at the Havensight Docks, yes the tram you see from the ship is the one to Paradise Point. As I have heard lately it is hit or miss if it is operating. Apparently there has been some issues with the Paradise Point owners/management and there may have been a change in ownership. This could be affecting the opreration of the tram.

I'm on the island now, and Paradise Point is undergoing a massive renovation and is thus currently shut down. People who work there have been impressed with what is going on up at the top of the ride.

When we were staying n STT in Jan we drove up and talked pyro the new owners, they were open then whenever a ship was scheduled to be in port. They were renovating the restaurant/bar then, not sure what the scoop is currently. Just ask when you get off the ship if they're open. Your excursion desk may even know since they sell tram tickets.

PP is our favorite spot for watching the ships and seaplanes depart the harbor.

Are you staying on STT coach? What exactly are they working on now do you know? Renovations have been ongoing for quite some time...

Meant to ask if the road construction at the dock entrance has been completed? It took awhie to drive through there in Jan so we took another route to the East End.

Hit or miss I guess. I've never seen it in operation, hope it will be this December. Thanks for the info!
