p&o getaway or vantage?

Hi, Anyone have any experience of booking a getaway fare? is there a chance of being upgraded from say inside to outside, would you recommend booking getaway or vantage?:)

Very much luck of the draw.

We booked on the lowest price for an inside cabin..............and that is exactly what we got although an upgrade to a family room.

I had no qualms whatsoever about what type of cabin we would end up with as I accepted the T&Cs of the Getaway concept.

Having said that, the cabin we were allocated was absolutely fine for a seven day cruise.

You never can tell. If booking a getaway you have to be sure you would be happy to accept the lowest grade cabin in your category, anywhere on the ship. Anything more is a bonus. Yes upgrades happen, but you cannot count on it.
