Tapster Posted June 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2013 I'm cruising with my extended family on Carnival Spirit out of Sydney at the end of July. My father is very generously paying for the whole family (10 people altogether ) and I would love to have a special thank you gift waiting for him in his cabin when he embarks. Is this possible? How would I organise it? Or if it's not possible, what else could I do as a special thank you? Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
RuthlessBoss Posted June 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Hamper? There must be another meaning, because to me, a hamper is something you put dirty clothes in.
Guest fyree39 Posted June 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Hamper? There must be another meaning, because to me, a hamper is something you put dirty clothes in. A hamper is also something like a tote. OP, have you checked the Bon Voyage section on Carnival's website? Perhaps with a little digging you'll find something perfect. pafam4 Posted June 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2013 RuthlessBoss: From the dictionary: British - a large basket usually with a cover - a basket together with its contents, especially food The OP would like to order a gift basket containing food and treats for their father. Sometimes words have additional meanings in other countries and cultures. OP: what a wonderful man your father must be. Check the Bon voyage department on the CCL website. I hope you all have a wonderful cruise!
RuthlessBoss Posted June 22, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 22, 2013 I knew there must have been an explanation. This one made sense.
crusinpsychRN Posted June 22, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 22, 2013 There is a fruit and wine basket which also has a few cheeses and crackers. Or get it without wine. Other items also on Bon Voyage site. It's always fun to go into the cabin and find a gift!
