I am not sure about the other ships, but the Voyager class ships jr suites do not come with concierge access.

If you are in a suite category GS or higher, not Junior Suite, or are a Diamond member, you get to use the Concierge Lounge.

The lounge has several sofas and chairs, with soft music playing and is open in the mornings with free continental breakfest and beverages. It is normally open in the morning from 7-AM-10AM.

Then, it is open again from 5-8-PM and at that time, they have all kinds of finger foods, and self serve beer, wine and mixed drinks. You can save a lot on drinks if you use the lounge before and/or after dinner for the entire 7-days. it sure adds up.

While in the lounge, they will make shore excurtion reservations for you, get you seats if the ship has an ice skating rink, and a few other things that escape my mind. We just turned Diamond members on our last cruise, so we have taken advantage of this lounge once, and are looking forward to it again.

Regards,

Dave

We booked our first GS on Explorer. Just got off Voyager and didn't notice concierge's lounge. Where is it located? Will our children be permitted access?

Concierge lounge on Voyage class ships is an interior lounge on deck 9 near the elevator bank towards the back of the ship (the elevators at the end of the Royal Promenade nearest the dining rooms).

Children are not allowed in the concierge lounge during the hours when alcohol is being served. Actually there is very little about the lounge that would appeal to kids. You can borrow DVDs for use in your suite, get tickets to the Ice Shows or book reservations at Chops or Portofino, or shore excursions. On the Radiance class ships the concierge lounges have great ocean views and there is also internet access, but this amenity is not available on Voyager Class ships.

Thank you. Don't want kids around drinking. Thought it could work for bagel & juice for my 14 yr old DD & I to get better start on sea days to sun deck...that way we won't have to fight chair hogs. DH & DS can eat their full breakfast as they are not sun worshipers!!!! Great to know about DVDs. Just got off VOS today and couldn't handle another Yogi Bear re-run (LOL).

Is the Internet access complimentary or is it still $.50 a minute?
