Cruising89143 Posted September 20, 2013 Author #104 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Any chance you can tell us how kayak worked so great and your flight upgrade? Thanks! We knew that we wanted to fly Delta due to the chance of less stops since we live in Atlanta. We had checked Delta's website first and found the flights that we wanted which were nonstop each way. I decided to check Kayak and that flight was the same price but another option popped up. Going over to Venice we would have to go through JFK but coming home was the same direct flight that we found on Delta. The price on Delta for Business class was over twelve grand for two. We paid $4700.00 for the same flight on Kayak for Business class. Also Delta called us two weeks prior to the trip. They had overbooked the JFK to Venice leg in Business class. We ended up on the direct flight to Venice from ATL.:). Worked out great. We just booked our flight for our cruise next June to Europe but did not have the same good luck. Ended up paying a lot more. Win some and lose some.:)

We got lucky with our bcn flight.
scifimodelfan Posted September 20, 2013 #106 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Flying from Boston here, cheapest we could get for two was over $2000.00 not pleased not to mention flying Air France. Have heard horror stories.

Have heard horror stories. Flights across the pond have risen in price. We bit the bullet and booked early for next year as we wanted direct flights to Barcelona and home from Venice plus we wanted Business class and those seats are booking well. We booked in late July and the price has risen over three grand for two people. Crazy.
