Snorkeling in Half Moon Cay

We have our own snorkeling equipment and don't like to go with groups of people. Are there areas close to the tendors/drop off area to just go off by yourself and see decent fish?

Thanks

You can snorkel on your own at HMC. The best snorkelling area is the left (as you look out to the water) side the beach along the breakwater.

Great beach and powdery sand, the snorkelling is okay, but not a great variety of fish (at least there wasn't when I was there in Fall 03). There is a link to some pics in my sig.

no better in June 05. Having said that, I still think HMC is the most gorgeous stretch of beach I have ever been on. It's clean, fine white sand that is so fun to be on. I would love to spend more than one day here.

Enjoy
