dln929 Posted July 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2013 We're on the Navigator Rome cruise for a week. Our 26 year old and 24 year old will be along with us but both of them are getting off the ship at the end of the itinerary, whereas we're staying on for another week's cruise. The Navigator gets in at 5 am. The kids are heading off to Rome and we want to go with them and then (of course) return to the ship in the afternoon. Do we have to go to a B2B meeting to get a new seapass? If the kids get off around 9-9:30 am, will whatever we need to do be done by then? We'd like to walk off the ship with them. If it makes any difference, we're keeping our cabin. Thanks!
Tiggertastic Posted July 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2013 When we did it from Miami they gave us the cruise card to last 2 weeks as it was the same cabin but had to disembark as they have to clear the ship at 10am and let us back on 30 minutes later In Europe on the last 3, they have announced for any B2B in the newsletter to report to reception/guest services before the last day to do the cards and account etc so that you don;t have to queue through with everyone else. Check in with guest services to do it We went up a tier at the end of the first week so we changed our cards to get the next level on them

Our experience is that if we're in the same stateroom for the second cruise, we get our SeaPass cards the night before the changeover.
dln929 Posted July 1, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted July 1, 2013 Thank you so much for your speedy replies. It doesn't sound like a lot of hassle by the sounds of it. Whew.
Clarea Posted July 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2013 Thank you so much for your speedy replies. It doesn't sound like a lot of hassle by the sounds of it. Whew. One thing I wanted to add is to visit Guest Services early on your first cruise and have them confirm you are on the B2B list. Sometimes they miss a few, it's happened to us. This will ensure you get the letter, or an invitation to the meeting (if they have one), and your SeaPass cards are ready.

Whew.Don't let the B2B folks on the Mariner reposition cruise hear you say that about the turnover in Barcelona.

The list comes from Head Office so if they can't confirm immediately, they will phone you in your cabin as soon as possible.
dln929 Posted July 1, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted July 1, 2013 I'll make sure to get everything in order at Guest Services early on. You're all right--make sure all our ducks are in order if we want to have a nice day in Rome with the kids!
SadmanCruiser Posted July 1, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 1, 2013 Don't forget Rome is a long way from the port - around an hours drive. There is a decent train service but leaving at 9-930 will only leave you a couple of hours in Rome before its time to head back. Pete
