Warnemunde to Rostock taxi both ways?

We will be arriving July 31 at Warnemunde via the Emerald Princess. Have read a lot of posts on taking the ferry or the tram/train to get from port to Rostock. We were wondering if it could be done via taxi both ways?

We are thinking of picking up a taxi at the port (20 Euros) and would love to pick up a taxi in Rostock when we are ready to return to the ship. Is this do-able?

The directions we have read on picking up the ferry or the train have confused us, so we are looking for a non-confusing /easy option.
