sail7seas Posted July 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2013 I cannot verify this is a true story but it is reported on the HAL forum four guests failed to return on time to Oosterdam in Ketchikan. The ship is said to have waited 40 minutes for them and had to leave. It is often a hustle to arrive in Victoria on time and waiting for late guests made it harder to get there promptly. Oosterdam's itinerary takes the ship from Ketchikan to Vicctoria to Seattle for the end of the cruise. These guests will have to fly to get to Victoria unless they bypass Victoria and fly direct to Seattle. That would make the ship liable for PVSA violation and fines and, of course, those fines will be passed to the guests. Hope they had their passports so they could fly to Victoria.
