4774Papa Posted July 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2013 We are considering booking a Family Suite for a cruise. It would be for three persons. The cabins don't have a balcony. My questions.: 1) How good is the sleeping arrangement for the third person in the suite? 2) Even though the cabin is large, do you miss the balcony? 3) The cabins are at the bow (front) of the ship. Anyone have any motion difficulties?
garycarla Posted July 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Which ship? Which cabins? The term Family Suite means different things on different ships.
youngestof9 Posted July 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2013 I'm assuming he means the Dawn, because the SJ suites are the ones at the front with no balcony. No experience, but have fun!
4774Papa Posted July 10, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted July 10, 2013 The specific ship that I was asking about was the Dawn, but the Star is a Dawn class and has the same cabin configuration.

skram99 Posted July 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2013 We stayed 6 adults for a girls weekend!! Each bed area had curtains to give privacy! We all loved ceiling to floor windows!
onlysister Posted July 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Had 4 adults in one on the Star. If you don't have to move the dining table and chairs there will be plenty of room. Didn't miss the balcony because you are just down the hall to the pool deck. Didn't have a problem finding a seat there. Also like heading down to the promenade deck, usually deck 7. I like being closer to the water. There are chairs scattered around that deck.
