Epic ship time -vs- island time?

I have a question that I know has been answered in many different ways and about many different cruise lines and different places. But I'm looking for someone who can tell me for certain whether or not the Epic changes its time to match the port time. I know that some are going to say " the only time you need to worry about is ship time." And I appreciate that and I get that, BUT.... I still would love to hear from someone who has been on the Epic, in December, going to St. Thomas or St. Maarten. The shore excursion I want to book clearly states " 9:45 island time". If the ship doesn't change it's time to match island time then we don't arrive until 9 island time. If the time it says we will be there, which is 8, is in fact island time then I think it will be fine. I know this sounds confusing, and sorry for that, but I would love to have it cleared up. Thank you all so much! I have learned so much from all of you :)
