Arcadia will be refitted at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven in November this year. She will get a new piece of superstructure on her upperdeck which will house 23 cabins and 1 suite - all with balconies. New sunbathing space will also be added:

Interesting how they put a positive perspective on the story

There are actually 24 new cabins and the 7 inside ones don't have balconies.

The new sunbathing area is just a replacement for the area aft of the Crows Nest which is being lost to the new cabins. The existing area was sheltered from the wind and had tables and chairs.

Gain for passengers - some extra cabins

Gain for P&O - extra revenue

The new cabins do include 6 singles, 2 of which have balconies. There is also a mini suite. Those singles with balconies will be popular!.

I suppose this will give her a look similar to Queen Elizabeth? She has the extra deck forward doesnt she?
