7 Day Southern Out of San Juan

A couple of questions for anyone who has been on this cruise-

 

The cruise doesn't leave port until 10 pm, what time does boarding start? What is the food situation for the first day?

 

The cruise is very "port intensive", when is/are formal nights?

-Boarding starts approx. 12pm - even though they tell you 2:00-2:30p.

-formal nights are Tuesday/Thursday.

-food on the first day. Buffet is open for lunch, right from the get go. Dinner is open seating and casual dress.

 

Will be sailing her on 8/4, but sailed her about 5 years ago.

When we did this cruise, it was on the Victory, but I remember being on the Lido deck eating lunch around 11:30am. Once you go through the check in process and get on the ship, you can get back off if you want to do any sight seeing in San Juan or do any last minute shopping. You don't have to be back on board until 9:30pm. Love this itinerary and hope to do it again soon. Have a great time!

We are dropping our rental car off at 10:00 and they are shuttling us to the port in three weeks. :cool:

Are the pools and hot tubs open while you are in port until 10PM? Since this cruise only has 1 sea day we were thinking of just treating this first day like a sea day and lounging at the pool all day rather than getting back off to site see. (we are flying into SJ early to site see)
