Luggage storage after cruise

We are cruising on AoS in January and our return flight is not until 5 pm. We would like to do a little sight seeing before heading to the airport. Any ideas on where we can stash luggage for the day?

We're in the same situation; our return flight isn't until 7:00 PM.

These threads have given me some helpful ideas.

Thanks Featherw8. I think we will do the tour from the pier. Looks like the least amount of hassle lugging our suitcases around with ample opportunity to see the OSJ

That's what I was thinking, although we arrive in OSJ two days before our cruise and will have already had a chance to tour the old city. It would give us a last chance to see things we may have missed, get in a bit of last minute shopping and have a nice meal before flying home, all while keeping our luggage with us.

  • 2 weeks later...

We stalled as long as we could before getting off the ship. Our luggage tag color was called around 8:00am but we didn't get off til after 9am.

We opted to see more of Old San Juan. We took a cab ride to Barrachina restaurant. They store luggage for free (please tip!) starting at 9am. It's a charming restaurant in the heart of OSJ. Try one of their legendary pina coladas at the courtyard bar. We walked around OSJ, shopped, visited El Morro, and dined at a tapas restaurant for lunch. http://www.rosadetrianapr.com/

Our flight was at 4pm and we had to leave OSJ at 1:30pm (to ensure we had plenty of time). It took us about 25 minutes to get to the airport, but there wasn't much traffic. The airport is insanely busy. You have to wait in an agriculture line first, then a long line to check your luggage. The line for security is equally long. All in all, the airport checkin/security portion took us over an hour. Be sure you allow yourself enough time!
